As a community-focused organization, WisCARES receives our funding through private donations, grants, and our relationship with the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. We have a few paid staff and a lot of dedicated volunteers, both professional and students. We are always happy to accept physical and monetary donations! We would also love more volunteers–email us to find out more!
Where does your help go?
$5 can help get a dog a rabies vaccine.
$50 can help with pet fees so that a family can stay with their beloved pet when they get housing.
$200 can help us provide a month of housing for a dog so that their person can access their own medical care.
These are just some of the ways that financial donations can make a real difference in the lives of our clients and patients.
Monetary gifts can be donated in two different ways. Donations through the UW Foundation will be earmarked for infrastructure, paying for veterinary medical services, student staff, etc. Donations through our Paypal address will go to our Friends of WisCARES fund, and pay for our outreach program (boarding, pet food pantry, and other social service needs). No matter where you donate, we really do appreciate the support and will put it to good use, and all donations are tax-deductible!
To donate by mail, send a check made out to WisCARES to our mailing address. Checks can be earmarked with which fund they should be applied to, or we will apply them as seems appropriate. Our mailing address is:
